Your Sri Lanka mobile phone number is displayed on the white label on your Sri Lanka SIM card and begins 077... Next to your Sri Lanka SIM phone number will also be your Sri Lanka PIN and PUK numbers.
- Travel to Sri Lanka
- Be sure that the battery is adequately charged
- Insert the Sri Lanka SIM chip into the cellular phone*
- Turn on your phone
- Enter PIN (If applicable)^

Customer service for your Sri Lanka Dialog GSM prepaid SIM card is available by dialing 077 123 456 from your Sri Lanka cellular phone.
For emergencies while using your local Sri Lanka GSM SIM card in Sri Lanka please dial 112 from your cell phone.
*You will need to snap out the thumbnail sized Sri Lanka SIM card along the perforated edge of its holder and then insert the Sri Lanka SIM card into your international cell phone with the gold contacts of the SIM card facing the metal contacts of your international cellular phone.
^Your Sri Lanka SIM card requires a PIN code which can be found on the white label stuck to your Sri Lanka SIM card. The PUK is only required to unblock your phone if you enter a PIN code incorrectly. Follow your cell phone manual instructions to correctly use the PUK to unblock your phone.
**When calling overseas from the United States to your Sri Lanka cell phone, callers will need to dial 011 followed by the country code 94 and then your Sri Lanka cell phone number. | Adding Airtime |
Your Sri Lanka SIM card includes an initial airtime voucher of RS $800 (US $8.25), which you may load once you arrive in Sri Lanka. Additional credit is available through the purchase of airtime vouchers, commonly called a Kit Charge card, not another Sri Lanka SIM card. Kit Charges are available locally at most tabac shops, convenience stores and petrol stations. The Charges are purchased at face value and provide the equivalent denomination purchased in airtime credit to your SIM. Kit Charges are currently available in the following denominations:
- 400 RS ($4 USD)
- 700 RS ($7 USD)
- 1000 RS ($10 USD)
Simply scratch off the gray protective layer to reveal your 16 digit voucher number for your Sri Lanka top up card. Dial 123 from your Sri Lanka GSM cell phone followed by the 16 digit voucher code and press [SEND]. When punched into the keypad of your international cell phone, the voucher code will credit your Sri Lanka SIM card with the respective Sri Lanka rupee denomination you purchased.
To check your Sri Lanka SIM card account balance, simply dial 456 from your Sri Lanka cellular phone and follow the voice prompts.
Remember: Do not purchase another Sri Lanka SIM card when your airtime credit is depleted! You only need a Sri Lanka recharge voucher. |

| Service Life |
Each time you recharge your Sri Lanka SIM card, the validity of your SIM card will be extended for 180, 270 or 365 days, depending on the denomination of your Sri Lanka top up card (RS 400, RS 700, RS 1000, respectively). If you do not recharge your Sri Lanka SIM card account within 15 days after your balance runs out, your Sri Lanka SIM card balance will be reduced to zero. If your Sri Lanka SIM card remains dormant for an additional 60 days, your Sri Lanka SIM account will automatically be recycled and any remaining airtime credit on your Sri Lanka SIM card will be forfeit. |
