Switzerland SIM Card

A prepaid Switzerland SIM card with a GSM international cell phone is the most convenient and economical calling solution while you travel in Switzerland. The Switzerland SIM card includes FREE incoming calls with service across Switzerland. Pay the local rate for local calls and use a cellular phone in Switzerland like you do at home. And unlike home, your Switzerland SIM card and cell phone service is prepaid so there is no need for a contract.

Please Note:
Your Switzerland SIM Card (Sunrise) will require a SIM-unlocked GSM 900 / 1800 compatible international cell phone. If you do not have your own international cell phone, we have several models available for rental or purchase.

Domestic Calls

The domestic rates are per minute for outgoing calls within Switzerland from your prepaid Sunrise Go SIM card while you are in Switzerland. All incoming calls, regardless of where they originate, are FREE. All calls are billed per second.

International Calls

Making international calls from your world cell phone has never been easier than with your prepaid Switzerland SIM card. All rates are listed per minute for international outgoing calls from a Switzerland prepaid SIM card while Switzerland, however outgoing calls will be billed to the second. Signing up with the Telestial Return Call Service can significantly reduce the cost of international calls while in Switzerland. If you plan to make a lot of international calls whilst in Switzerland we also suggest to sign up for �global� through Sunrise to reduce your calling costs.

Roaming Calls (calls placed when traveling outside of the country)

Roaming is available with your Switzerland SIM card. Calling from outside of Switzerland within the roaming country or to other international locations is very easy with your Switzerland prepaid SIM card whilst you are abroad. Calls are charged per minute at the following rates below.

Region 1: West & Central Europe, Island etc.
Region 2: USA, Canada, Australia, North Africa, Middle East etc.
Region 3: Africa, Asia, South America etc.

GPRS Data Rates (Wireless Internet)

GPRS and EDGE are data services available with your Switzerland Sunrise Go prepaid SIM card. A GPRS compatible phone is required and data transfer is charged at a rate of CHF 0.10 (US$0.08) / 20 KB. For support and configuration, please contact customer service on 0800 707 707.

Your SIM card includes CHF 5 (US$4.31) of initial airtime credit. Additional credit can be added by visiting any Sunrise Centre conveniently located throughout Switzerland. You can recharge your phone with either CHF 20 (US$17), CHF 30 (US$25), CHF 50 (US$17) or CHF 100 (US$17) at face value. To recharge your Sunrise Go prepaid SIM card, please follow the steps below.

• You need to visit a Sunrise Centre conveniently located throughout Switzerland
• Chose from CHF 10, 30, 50 or 100 recharge denominations
• The SIM card will be recharged by the service centre

Once you arrive in Switzerland and make your first call, your prepaid SIM card will have an initial validity of 12 months during which you may receive unlimited free incoming calls. If you add airtime during this period it will be added to your existing airtime balance and the validity of your SIM card will be extended for another 12 months. If you do not add any airtime during the initial 12 months then your account will be suspended for 6 months during which you may call Sunrise support and request reactivation. Otherwise your mobile phone number will be recycled and any remaining airtime credit will be forfeit. To get connected again you will be required to purchase another SIM card.
