Your French Polynesia SIM card will provide you with a French Polynesia cellular phone number, which will be dynamically assigned to you once you arrive at your destination. To activate your SIM card and receive your mobile phone number, please follow the instructions below.
- Travel to French Polynesia
- Be sure that the battery is adequately charged
- Insert the French Polynesia SIM chip into the cellular phone*
- Enter the PIN (Default 0000)^
- Select your language (Dial 222 and press 3)
- Retrieve your phone number (Dial 222 and press 2)^^
- Start calling**

For emergencies while using your local French Polunesia GSM SIM card in French Polynesia please dial 112 from your cell phone.
* You will need to snap out the thumbnail sized French Polynesia SIM card along the perforated edge of its holder and then insert the Tahiti SIM chip into your international cell phone with the gold contacts of the SIM card facing the metal contacts of your international cellular phone.

| Service Life |
Your initial call credit will expire within 60 days. Every refill will extend the validity of the SIM card and carry over any remaining airtime balance for another 60-day period up to a maximum of 180 days. If you do not recharge your account within the validity period, your mobile phone number will be recycled and any remaining airtime credit will be forfeit. To get connected again you will be required to purchase another SIM card. The initial 60-day period starts the day you arrive in French Polynesia. |
