Estonia SIM Card

A prepaid Estonia SIM card with an international cell phone is the most convenient and economical solution for staying in touch while in Estonia. All incoming calls while you travel Estonia are FREE, regardless of where they originate. Pay the local rate for local calls and use a cellular phone in Estonia like you do at home. And unlike home, your Estonia SIM card and cell phone service is prepaid so there is no need for a contract.

Your Estonia SIM Card (Simpel) will require a SIM-unlocked GSM 900 / 1800 compatible international cell phone. If you do not have your own international cell phone, we have several models available for rental or purchase.

Domestic Calls

Domestic rates are per minute for outgoing calls within Estonia from your prepaid Estonia SIM card while you are in Estonia. All incoming calls, regardless of where they originate, are FREE.

Peak times: 7:00 - 18:00, weekdays

Off-peak times: 18:00 - 7:30 Mon-Fri, weekends and bank holidays

* Calls within EMT network are free from second minute around the clock if Simpel card is recharged with at least EEK 150. First minute is charged with regular price. The discount is valid until Simpel calling card is recharged with a value of less than eek 200.

** Calls to all Estonian mobile networks cost 90 cents per minute if Simpel card is recharged with at least EEK 200. The discount is valid until Simpel calling card is recharged with a value of less than eek 200. Each call is charged with additional starting fee of EEK 0.90

International Calls

Making international calls from your world cell phone has never been easier than with your prepaid Estonia SIM card. All rates are per minute for international outgoing calls from an Estonia prepaid SIM card within Estonia. Note that signing up with the Telestial Return Call Service can significantly reduce the cost of international calls.

Roaming Calls (calls placed when traveling outside of the country)

Roaming is available with your Estonia service. All outgoing calls are charged at a rate of EEK 9.05 (US$0.80) and all incoming calls at a rate of EEK 4.43 (US$0.39) per minute.

Roaming is available in the following countries:

GPRS Data Rates (Wireless Internet)

GPRS is available from your Estonia service. Date transfers are charged at EEK 50 (US$4.43) per 1 MB (WAP) and EEK 40 (US$3.55) per 1 MB Internet.

In order to add airtime to your Estonia SIM card, please follow the instructions below. You may purchase additional airtime from most convenience stores, tabac shops and petrol stations in Estonia.

• Scratch off the grey protective layer to reveal your recharge voucher code
• Dial 1423 and enter your 12-digit recharge voucher code when prompted

Dial 1433 to find your remaining airtime balance on your Estonia prepaid SIM card.

REMEMBER: Do NOT purchase another SIM card when your airtime credit is depleted! You only need a recharge voucher! Your incoming calls are always free, even when you run out of airtime.

Your service remains active until your airtime credit is depleted or for a maximum of 5 months after the day you last recharged your account. Should your Estonia service expire for either of the above-mentioned reasons, you enter a 30-day grace period, where you can receive calls and call customer service in order to recharge. If you have remaining airtime credit and recharge within the grace period, the credit will be accumulated.

Failure to recharge your account before the end of the sixth month will result in your Estonia service to be disconnected and recycled. In order to continue using the service, you will need to buy a new SIM card.
