Saudi Arabia SIM Card

A prepaid Saudi Arabia SIM card with an international cell phone is the most convenient and economical solution for staying in touch while you travel Saudi Arabia. Pay the local rate for local calls and use a cellular phone in Saudi Arabia like you do at home. And unlike home, your Saudi Arabia SIM card and cell phone service is prepaid so there is no need for a contract.

Your Saudi Arabia SIM Card (Mobily) will require a SIM-unlocked GSM 900 / 1800 compatible international cell phone. If you do not have your own international cell phone, we have several models available for rental or purchase.

Domestic Calls

Domestic rates are per minute for outgoing calls within Saudi Arabia while you are in Saudi Arabia. All incoming calls on your Saudi Arabia cell phone, regardless of where they originate, are FREE.

International Calls

Making international calls from your world cell phone has never been easier than with your prepaid Saudi Arabia SIM card. All rates are per minute for international outgoing calls from a Saudi Arabia prepaid SIM card while in Saudi Arabia. Note that signing up with the Telestial Return Call Service can significantly reduce the cost of international calls

Off-Peak tariff is from 9:00 PM - 9:00 AM, and all day Friday & Eid holidays

All international SMS are charged at SR .50 ($0.13 USD) per message to anywhere in the world.

Roaming Calls (calls placed when traveling outside of the country)

Roaming is currently not available with the Mobily SIM card.

GPRS Data Rates (Wireless Internet)

GPRS is currently not available with the Mobily SIM card.

Your SIM card includes 2 EGP 50 airtime vouchers (and EGP 5 preloaded) which you may load when you arrive in Saudi Arabia. Additional credit is available through the purchase of airtime vouchers, also called reload codes, not another SIM card, in Saudi Arabia. Airtime vouchers are available locally throughout Saudi Arabia at most convenience stores, petrol stations, Mobily authorized dealers and distributors. Airtime vouchers are available in 6 denominations:

Simply scratch off the gray protective layer to reveal your voucher code. When punched into the keypad of your international cell phone, the voucher code will credit your SIM card the respective denomination you purchased.

Remember: Do not purchase another SIM card when your airtime credit is depleted! You only need a recharge voucher! Your incoming calls are always free even when you run out of airtime.

The Saudi Arabia SIM card is initially valid for 120 days once you arrive in Saudi Arabia. Every time you add airtime the validity period will be extended based on the denomination of the voucher purchased. After the validity period is passed, there will be a 15 day grace period when you will still receive calls only. After this period you will have another 60 day period when your account will be inoperable but you may still add airtime at which time your service will be re-activated. After this period your SIM card will expire and you will need to purchase another Mobily SIM card for service.
