France SIM Card

The prepaid SIM card for France with a world cell phone is the most convenient and economical solution for staying in touch while in France. And unlike home, your France SIM card and cell phone service is prepaid so there is no need for a contract.

Your France SIM Card (Mobiho) will require a SIM-unlocked GSM 900 / 1800 compatible international cell phone. If you do not have your own international cell phone, we have several models available for rental or purchase.

This SIM is only available as a standard-sized SIM. If you need a micro or nano SIM, then you can cut the SIM with a SIM cutter to the required size. This however voids the warranty of the SIM. As an alternative, please consider purchasing a Passport SIM card, which is available as a micro and nano SIM.

Domestic Calls

Domestic rates are per second for outgoing calls within France from your France SIM card while you are in France. All incoming calls, regardless of where they originate, are FREE with your Mobiho France SIM card.

All domestic calls to fixed lines and mobiles within France are charged at EUR 0.39 per minute (approx. US$0.56).

Text messages are charged at EUR 0.10 per message (approx. US$0.15).

International Calls

International calls are calls made while you are in France, calling outside of France, from your France prepaid SIM card.

International text messages are charged at EUR 0.17 per message (approx. US$0.26).

Data Rates (Wireless Internet)

Data is available on your French SIM card at €0.96 per MB. Data packs are also available;

To activate a data package, send a SMS to 22213 containing the word 'DATA' and the desired volume in megabytes, example: DATA 200

Your SIM card will include an initial airtime credit of EUR 10.00 to start you off. The initial airtime is valid for 14 days after you make the first call. You can top-up your prepaid France SIM card by purchasing a top-up card (airtime vouchers) in several denominations from Telestial and exclusively in Tobacco Retail Stores throughout France.

The initial airtime credit of EUR 10.00 (US$14.26) your France SIM card includes will expire 14 days after you make the first call (or send the first text message). If you do not recharge your France service for 4 months * after your credit has expired, your France SIM card will automatically be terminated which means you will need to purchase another SIM card and a new number will be provisioned.

* For a fee of EUR 24 (US$31.25), Mobiho will extend the life of your SIM card to 1 year.
