Slovakia SIM Card

A prepaid Slovakia SIM card with an international cell phone is the most convenient and economical solution for staying in touch while in Slovakia. All incoming calls while in Slovakia are FREE, regardless of where they originate. Pay the local rate for local calls and use a cellular phone in Slovakia like you do at home. And unlike home, your Slovakia SIM card and cell phone service is prepaid so there is no need for a contract.

Your Slovakia SIM Card (Easy) will require a SIM-unlocked GSM 900 / 1800 compatible international cell phone. If you do not have your own international cell phone, we have several models available for rental or purchase.

Domestic Calls

Domestic rates are listed per minute for outgoing calls within Slovakia from your prepaid Slovakia SIM card while you are in Slovakia. All incoming calls, regardless of where they originate, are FREE.

On weekends and public holidays a flat calling rate of SKK 3.90 (approx. US$0.14) per minute applies to ALL calls.

International Calls

Making international calls from your world cell phone has never been easier than with your prepaid Slovakia SIM card. All rates shows are per minute for international outgoing calls but charged per second while in Slovakia.

Important: To make an international call using this service you have to dial 33 instead of the + sign. For example, to call Telestial you would dial 3318582742686

International text messages (SMS) are charged at SKK 4.80 (approx. US$0.20) per message.

Roaming Calls (calls placed when traveling outside of the country)

Roaming is available with your Slovakia SIM card. For rates, more information and to activate this service please contact Customer Care before you leave Slovakia. You can reach Customer Care by dialing 12345 from your Slovakia cellular phone (charges may apply). Alternatively dial 0903 903 903 from a fixed line (charges apply).

GPRS Data Rates (Wireless Internet)

GPRS is available at the rate of SKK 0.49 (approx. US$0.02) per KB. Please contact Customer Care when you arrive in Slovakia to configure your phone for this service. You can reach Customer Care by dialing 12345 from your Slovakia cellular phone (charges may apply). Alternatively dial 0903 903 903 from a fixed line (charges apply).

Your SIM card has an initial airtime credit of SKK 300 (approx. US$12). Additional credit is available through the purchase of airtime vouchers, also called reload codes (not another SIM card) in Slovakia. Airtime vouchers are available locally in Slovakia at T-Mobile outlets, local Tabac shops, convenience stores, post offices, Eurotel shops and authorized dealers. Airtime vouchers are available in the following denominations:

• SKK 300 (approx. $10.10 USD) - Valid for 6 months after loading
• SKK 500 (approx. $16.70 USD) - Valid for 6 months after loading
• SKK 1000 (approx. $33.40 USD) - Valid for 6 months after loading
• SKK 2000 (approx. $66.00 USD) - Valid for 6 months after loading

Once you buy a top-up card, follow these simple steps to top up:

• Scratch off the protective layer to reveal your voucher code
• Compose a text message with the letters DOBI
• Send this message to 50 followed by the 14-digit recharge voucher code. For example, if your airtime voucher code is 12345678901234, you must the send the text message to 5012345678901234

Remember: Do not purchase another SIM card when your airtime credit is depleted! You only need a recharge voucher! Your incoming calls are always free even when you run out of airtime.

You must recharge your Slovakia Service at least once every 12 months in order for your Slovakia service to remain active. The 12-month period begins from the date of your last recharge or the initial activation date.
